Why I veil?

I veil to quiet the world around me, to seize the noise so my soul can tune into Heaven. The veil becomes a gentle boundary, helping my heart remember that I am standing before the All Mighty, where He humbly meets us the altar. Its quiet, earthy tones are chosen with intention, so nothing draws the eye to me, but everything points back to the Creator. 

When I veil, I place myself beneath Our Lady’s mantle, asking her to hide me, to form me, and to teach me how to love her Son.
